The town of Oakhurst finds itself along winding highways, buried in the foothills of California, about one and half hours southwest of Yosemite. The picturesque setting lends itself to many wandering eyes as one drives along scenic two-lane roads, which is tough for a solo driving photographer with an itchy trigger finger.

All the same, I’m absorbing this stretch of land for my future brother-in-law, Paul’s bachelor party, in a quaint rental off the beaten path. Along with the usual partying that accompanies one such occasion, the group made time for some light hiking at a nearby waterfall and I was able to grab a few snaps at night.
