Enjoying the cool breeze as it funnels through our delta, a short respite from the heat. June in Sacramento, and I am walking around Midtown, soaking up the air and looking for light with a new Zeiss 85mm.
If you never been in downtown on a hot summer evening, you’re missing out. With trees EVERYWHERE, sunlight streams in through gaps in the branches, and brightly lit leaves completely surround you.
Some things to note about the Zeiss:
- Manual focus on 85mm at f1.4 is HARD. Damn hard.
- This lens seems to love open and bright shade.
- Skin tones are flat but compressed and smooth
