Christmas, 2014

Eliason Christmas, 2014

To everyone, Christmas means something a little different. For me, it may not necessarily be the religious holiday, but more a chance to reflect on the year, celebrate being halfway through winter, cherish traditions and better connect with my roots. Every year, it seems, I find myself closer to my Swedish ancestry. Finding traditions of olde, namely akvavit, bring them into my family and enjoying winter’s cold embrace is now an important part of my life every year.

Whatever you find yourself celebrating during the wintertime, skål to you. Can’t wait for New Year’s Day. (Hint, I’ll be backpacking in Point Reyes, CA.) See you then!
